About

Matt Barrie is an award-winning technology entrepreneur and the Chief Executive of Freelancer Limited, the world's largest freelancing and crowdsourcing marketplace with over 70 million registered users. He also serves as the Chief Executive of Escrow.com, a leader in secure online payments, and the Executive Chairman of Loadshift, Australia's largest freight marketplace. Barrie was an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Sydney and has co-authored over 20 US patent applications. He founded Sensory Networks, which was acquired by Intel in 2013. Barrie has been recognized as the most influential person in information technology in Australia and has received numerous awards, including the Gold Stevie for Executive of the Year. He holds degrees in Electrical Engineering, Science, and Applied Finance, and a Masters from Stanford University.
