Hayden Williams is a product manager who was working at MYOB, the Australian accounting and business management software company, when he spoke to Day One in 2022. He was then a senior product manager responsible for MYOB's existing customers.
In his interview for The History of the Australian Startup Ecosystem series, he talked about MYOB's shift from accounting software towards a platform that helps small businesses and startups manage more of their operations, and why software-as-a-service companies benefit from shorter, more frequent product updates. He also argued that cryptocurrency and NFTs could matter across many industries in future, though not in their current form.
In the series' documentary he described MYOB, which began as Teleware in the 1980s, as one of Australia's original startups.
