Dharmica Mistry

Dharmica Mistry is a senior medtech commercialisation specialist at AUScelerate, the organisation formerly known as MTPConnect, where she supports researchers and entrepreneurs bringing medical technologies to market and sits on the NHMRC-MRFF industry and commercialisation committee. She holds a PhD in medicine from Macquarie University and a science degree from the University of Sydney. She co-founded BCAL Diagnostics as chief scientist, developing a non-invasive blood test for early breast cancer detection, and later led Cicada Innovations' medtech and biotech programs. In Day One's documentary on the history of the Australian startup ecosystem, she discussed the distinction between deep tech and other startups.
