Galah Cyber
Case study · Two-campaign sponsorship

Two campaigns, two shows, one returning sponsor — with three dedicated landing pages to prove where the traffic came from.

Galah Cyber wanted to reach founders at the exact moment they're making security decisions — SOC 2 readiness, ISO 27001, the first enterprise customer asking for proof of controls. Generic ads don't move that buyer. Trust does.

01 · The brief

Position Galah Cyber as the trusted security voice

The brief: build positioning as the educational voice in founder-focused cybersecurity, not just another vendor — reaching founders at the moment they're making SOC 2, ISO 27001 and enterprise-readiness decisions, with tracked traffic to show for it, not just reach.

02 · The approach

Two shows, thirteen months of combined presence

  • First Cheque, 12 consecutive episodes (Oct 2024–Apr 2025): co-founder Cole Cornford's interview, cut into six 2-minute promo segments running mid-roll, plus dedicated host-read placements.
  • Pick My Brain, 14 episodes on a 6–12 booking (Jan–Jul 2026): three dedicated, individually tracked landing pages — galahcyber.com.au/learn, /assess and /test — each running its own host-read script.
  • Cross-channel surfacing on both campaigns — branded clips on LinkedIn and TikTok, audio snippets in email and BD, mentions in newsletter and show notes.
  • Both campaigns delivered past their minimum booking, and both ran to completion rather than lapsing early.
03 · The results

Reach that's tracked, not estimated

First Cheque's completed campaign report closed at 31,084 impressions and 8,969 ad listens, with a 7.25% engagement rate against a 1–3.5% benchmark and a 4.34% click-through rate against a 0.44–0.65% benchmark. Pick My Brain's three tracked landing pages carried the second campaign to 42,565 total reach across six channels — 23,556 from the podcast itself, 6,790 TikTok, 5,546 newsletter, 3,596 LinkedIn, 2,528 Instagram and 549 direct to the landing pages.

"Working with Day One gave us authentic, founder-focused brand presence in Australia, and the performance reports were great too!"
— Cole Cornford, Co-founder, Galah Cyber

First Cheque figures: Day One campaign report, 7 Oct 2024–16 Apr 2025 (completed). Pick My Brain figures: Day One campaign tracker, 14 Jan–31 Jul 2026 (completed). Benchmarks are the ones printed on Day One's own campaign reports. Rocking Horse Group ran an overlapping First Cheque campaign in early 2025; where the two periods overlap, impression and engagement figures are the show's, not exclusive to either sponsor.
