Steve Heaton

Steve Heaton is the founder of Xetla Consulting, an Australian research-and-development advisory firm that helps clients build products and R&D teams rather than acting as patent lawyers or venture capitalists. He has more than 18 years' experience in commercial R&D plus five years in project management, having led projects with budgets exceeding $14 million at organisations including GE. His work spans ionising radiation simulation and thermal clean-energy materials science, and he holds a master's degree in astronomy from Swinburne University. He is a regular speaker at international R&D events. On Engineering in the Hunter, he discusses founding Xetla Consulting.
