Dr Simon Longstaff AO has been executive director of The Ethics Centre (formerly the St James Ethics Centre) since 1991, making him the organisation's longest-serving leader. He holds a doctorate in philosophy from the University of Cambridge, is an adjunct professor at UNSW's Australian Graduate School of Management, and co-founded the Festival of Dangerous Ideas. In 2013 he was made an Officer of the Order of Australia for his contribution to ethical standards in governance and business. On In The Blink Of AI, Longstaff discussed the ethics of artificial intelligence.
