I wrote the following LinkedIn bio before ChatGPT.

When I was just a kid I used to stay back at school to play around on the classroom computers. I satiated my childhood curiosity creating banners on dot-matrix printers, dragging magnets across CRT monitors and clicking through every single system preference on Mac OS 8.

My first lesson in computer networking was getting Cro-Mag Rally multiplayer races working between two classrooms. In security, it was figuring out the network administrator password was 'admin'.

In high school, I took every technology course that I could (even food technology). My friends and I had a reputation for being 'computer hackers', and after poking around a bit, we were pointed at when end of semester results were being passed around between students. We had nothing to do with it. But I learned early that others will take advantage of accounts with insecure passwords (FYI '12345' is not a good one).

I graduated university with a software degree, and started my career at the birth of advanced analytics and enterprise data science. Since then I've been helping all sorts of amazing people and organisations build innovative capabilities to make the most of data and technology. Great customer experiences, world-leading products and efficient ways of working.

I've worn many hats, as a management consultant, analyst, data scientist, full-stack developer, devops engineer, architect, innovation manager and agile coach.

I love building great team culture and resourceful communities, and have organised and run a variety of meetups, hackathons and digital movements to bring my passion for technology and innovation to as many people as I can.

I love to build, write and present engaging content to all sorts of audiences.

I love to teach, advise and help individuals, startups and established organisations navigate towards success.
