About Billy Chan
Billy Chan is co-founder and chief executive of Alfred Travel, a Melbourne start-up whose AI trip-planning app turns a traveller's companions, must-see places and preferred pace into an itinerary they can edit and take through to booking. He runs the business with co-founder and chief technology officer Andy Tsang.
Chan's background spans travel technology, payments and digital assets, with experience at Expedia, Travelport, American Express, SWIFT and the Hong Kong digital-asset firm OSL. Alfred's app launched on iOS and Android in July 2025, and the company has stayed bootstrapped, keeping monthly costs under $1,000 rather than raising venture capital.
