He is the host of the award-winning podcast "The Next Billion Seconds" and a columnist for IEEE Spectrum. Pesce is a co-inventor of VRML, the standard for 3D on the web, and a core component of MPEG-4. He has authored six books, including "VRML: Browsing and Building Cyberspace" and "The Last Days of Reality." Pesce has served as a panelist on ABC's "The New Inventors" and has held honorary appointments at the University of Sydney and the University of Technology Sydney.
