About Elicia McDonald
Elicia McDonald is CEO and a partner of Airtree, a Sydney venture capital firm that manages about $2 billion. Airtree appointed her chief executive in May 2026, with co-founder Craig Blair moving to chair the investment committee; she continues to invest and sits on that committee.
She joined Airtree as an associate in 2016 and was made a partner in 2021. She led Airtree's investments in Regrow, Abyss Solutions and Process Street, among others, and has sat on the boards of HotDoc, Abyss and Different. Before Airtree she worked in technology investment banking, at a B2B software startup and at LinkedIn.
