Rainstick

Startup

Rainstick is an Australian biotech startup that combines Indigenous knowledge with modern electrokinetics to enhance agricultural productivity. Inspired by the Maiawali people's traditional practices, Rainstick uses electricity to mimic the natural effects of lightning, promoting faster and more sustainable crop growth.

The company's Variable Electric Field Treatment (VEFt) technology treats seeds with electric fields, aiming to increase germination rates, improve seedling vigor, and boost overall crop yields without relying on chemical inputs. This method offers a chemical-free alternative for producers seeking to enhance productivity while reducing environmental impact.
