Jade Ryan is a structural engineer who founded CakeServer, a platform connecting customers with professional bakers to design custom cakes for weddings and special events. She started baking as a side project alongside her engineering career, and the idea grew into CakeServer, which she represented at Newcastle's Integrated Innovation Network (I2N) startup community. She discussed her move from engineering into cake entrepreneurship on Welcome to Day One in 2019.
