Don Wright

Don Wright is the Executive Director of Enterprise at Western Sydney University, where he leads the University's innovation, industry partnerships, and precinct activation teams. He is a co-founder of the University's successful Launch Pad Technology Business Incubator, which supports startup accelerators, research commercialization, entrepreneurship training programs, and SME transformation. Don is an advocate for Western Sydney as Australia's next regional innovation hub, having served as a former Director and Vice President of the Western Sydney Business Connection. With a background in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in International Business, Don has experience in various engineering sectors, including aerospace, automotive, health, and education. He has also operated his own consulting business, working globally in Aerospace and Defence. Additionally, Don mentors tech start-up companies, focusing on digitalization, innovative business models, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
