About Alicia Edge
Alicia Edge is Chief Health Officer of Compeat Performance, the Newcastle-based sports nutrition business she co-founded with Dan Edge. Compeat gives athletes one-to-one support from performance dietitians through an app-based service, and provides education and tools to sports programs.
A sports dietitian, she has worked as a nutritionist with the Australian Institute of Sport and the NSW Waratahs, and in 2024 was described as lead performance dietitian for the Matildas. Compeat grew out of two problems she saw: dietitians in private practice were poorly served by the appointment model, and athletes who travel lacked consistent nutrition support.
She and Dan Edge told the story of building Compeat, including years of bootstrapping and the ICON Slingshot accelerator in Newcastle, on Welcome to Day One with Adam Spencer in 2019.
