Bill Tai is a renowned venture capitalist, athlete, and adjunct professor with a prolific career in funding startups since 1991. He has been instrumental in the success of 23 startups that have become publicly listed companies. Tai is a personal angel backer of three of the top ten companies on CNBC's 50 Top Disruptor List for 2022, including Lineage Logistics, Canva, and Dapper Labs. His involvement in early-stage companies has contributed to a collective market value surpassing $1 trillion in 2021.Originally trained as a chip designer, Tai began his career at LSI Logic after earning a BSEE with Honors from the University of Illinois.
