The Offer

The Australian startup movement has grown and matured a lot over the past two decades. This special series of Welcome to Day One will highlight the history of the Australian startup ecosystem.

In partnership with some of Australia’s key innovation communities, we will uncover how the ecosystem has evolved from its most nascent period into a thriving community. 

This 6-part docu-series will be a deep-dive into the innovation scene both past and present and take an exciting look at the future of Australia’s technological and economic transformation. 

Join us on this exciting journey, celebrating what has been accomplished and asking some hard questions about where we’re heading and if we’re on the right track.

Apart from Welcome to Day One’s built-in audience and our distribution, we’ll be taking a two-part approach to amplifying this series. 

  • There will be a big press push with each story released.
  • A suite of assets will be developed for each guest that is part of the show. Those assets will be hero shots, audiograms, social tiles, quote cards. We will be having 60-120 guests from across the ecosystem, each will be supplied with those assets and encouraged to help get this story out to their networks. 
  • Your branding will be included on any and all promotional assets developed, excluding white-labelled copies made specifically for the individual partners. 

Including, but not limited to:

  • On every podcast distribution platform where Welcome to Day One can be found (which is practically all of them).
  • On all promotional assets produced. 
  • Everywhere Welcome to Day One has a digital presence. Including website & social platforms.
  • In all press coverage. 
  • At the beginning and end of each episode (audio only).
  • You will also have access to a full suite of promotional assets. This will include quotes extracted from guests that you can use across your social platforms, and a key grabs document which will have the very best audio snippets (transcribed) for you to use.
  • We will also, at your request, supply you with a white-labelled copy of the show that will just include your organisation as the sponsor that you may distribute internally (and/or externally after the first run of the series has been made through your network).
  • You will also have access to all of your interview audio and transcripts to cut up and use however you like in the future. 
  • As a partner, we will work very closely with you and your team to develop the series throughout May and beyond to ensure we are covering everything you would like to be covered.

IMPORTANT Please understand, at the end of the day what is best for the story will always come first and the final editorial sign off will rest with Welcome to Day One.

What makes this series so interesting is not just the story behind the founder (produced masterfully by the podcast’s founder Adam Spencer), or the common challenges between founders based in regions to their city counterparts.

Rather, it is the connectedness of a founder to their business because of their regionality and the added tenacity they must demonstrate to overcome not being embedded in a dense ecosystem.

These are the stories of the founders with bonus features! And their numbers are on the rise.

It’s important their stories are told so that other regional founders know they are part of a shared experience.
